We are unable to prepare a proposal without doing an in-person site evaluation. 

After you've received your proposal and accepted the work you would like to have done, the scheduling process will begin. While we typically are about  8-10 weeks out for scheduling, every project is different and the scheduling wait times may vary being earlier than 8-10 weeks or later for larger projects requiring things such as cranes, closed roads, or permitting. Some tree species have specific seasonal times like trees in the Rosaceae family should be scheduled during dormancy. Our schedule is fluid and changes often due to crews completing projects early, clients rescheduling for vacation, or changes being made to current work scheduled. Sometimes we even have a cancellation. We do our very best to move projects up in the schedule when needed. If you have an emergency or hazardous tree, a deadline due to construction, or other specific items for your project, please let us know - we do our very best to be accommodating and flexible. 

Proposals are valid for 60 days, as long as no site changes or severe tree changes have happened since the proposal was provided. Examples of site changes include added fencing, changes to the landscape, added buildings or animal habitats such as chicken coops or goat farms, and changing access to trees and the work proposed. If it has been longer than 60 days, no problem, please touch base with us, we know sometimes projects get put on the backburner. After 60 days, we may schedule an additional site visit to update the proposal. 

Blue River Forestry & Tree Care has a minimum visit fee of $255 to do tree work. While lower amounts may appear itemized in the proposal, they cannot be selected individually.

Parking adjustments should be made prior to the crew’s arrival. Forestry equipment includes trucks and chippers and sometimes, depending on the project, a bucket truck that will need space to access the trees. Please have the driveway clear and parking accessible in front of your yard or trees. Also before our arrival please prepare by moving any items under the trees out of the way. A clear work zone for tree care is not only required but helpful for the crew. This includes items like patio furniture, Gramma's 100-year-old ceramic pot, Christmas lights, and any other items that may be decorating the trees or lawn. If you have animal companions that use the yard, please make sure the yard is cleared of animal waste, this keeps the area sanitary for our crews, ropes, and equipment.  Also, please make sure to keep your animal companions indoors for the time that we are onsite. We love your pets too and want them to feel safe and comfortable.

Trees and plants are natural, living organisms affected by factors beyond human control. We cannot provide a guarantee on trees, plants, or general landscape safety, health, or condition as there are no guarantees when working with nature. If we recommend a plant health care treatment, such as an Emerald Ash Borer injection, it is because we feel that the tree is a worthy candidate for treatment at that time and that the treatments recommended have been a success in their prescription for their target pest.
