Keeping the Trails Safe

Recently Blue River Forestry & Tree Care had the honor of working at Coot Lake in Boulder, CO. Heavy snows in the late fall and recent high wind storms have damaged trees along the path, that have made downed debris that was great for sticks for your dogs, but not so great for an afternoon jog. Worksites like Coot Lake are an arborist’s dream as you can see from the photo, starting your morning off with this view makes you appreciate mother nature at her best. Tree care in a urban forest environment not only allows us to work in harmony with nature to keep trails and pathways clear, it allows us to promote growth in the area by creating space by clearing out dead and dying trees and brush promoting healthy species to grow. Crown thinning also allows for more light and air penetration to the canopy which in return promotes more growth and better structure for the trees. Working together with mother nature we can keep our trails safe and ejoyable and provide a little boost for growth and development.
